In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's latest free story content, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
